Kawangware unemployed youths

I am quite disturbed by the alarming rate of unemployment of the youths in Kawangware.I understand that we  citizens of good will can stand and help with ideas to empower them begin Social interprises to sustain themselves.
This morning i was passing by a group oy young men who catpush for a living and they were so much bitter with the policies put in place to to curb their unemployment situation. One of them said that the government is pushing them to the edge in that they are thinking of uniting and going to the priviledged world in the neighbouring to grab monies and property if the government and the its stakeholders would not listen to their woes. The cost of living has gone high and there are no jobs and if there is, richmen are not paying them enogh to even put food on the table.leave alone the house rent prises going up every year with no social amenities. What i am trying to say is that the world knows about this problems and its root cause but the government and grantors are putting them down since the projects implimented in the slums and streets are unwell done leavign the prevalence of the problem. We may ask ourselves that if Kibera for instance has a large number of CBOs and NGOs,then why is it difficult for these organisation to improve the livelhoods of the residents?I may ask the same question for other Nairobi slums. The answer might be definately the same for Kawangware where we have few credible organisations like Koinonia Community working with the street children youths and mothers infected with HIV and AIDS.I realize that despite Koinonia doing the gigantic task new cases of children are reported daily and there is no action plan up to now for the children of kawangware, reintergrations, refferals and different intervention at whichever level hevent been harmonised.
There fore this world is one as i may say in my own words but out of a million people with one shilling contribution towards this project will be a viable stand towards humanity"let them talk while you and me do something down here"

  1. This is a real grave concern. The most important dream begins by observing reality. From then appropriate actions may be coined. The issue of reintegration you have brought about is really important. Kindly follow this link to explore further.

However even this on CEA leaves as many questions as your article on this blog. First is there appropriate human capital endowed with both social and enterprise abilities? In Koinonia several social enterprises started to effect reintegration such as NAREC, Kivuli Workshops etc are all in a bad shape. The biggest reason being that those entrusted in running them do not understand the complexity surrounding such projects. What about resources to begin? Lastly where are the entrepreneurs willing to undertake the solution of social problem as their objective?? Are there any risk takers??
